“I feel proud to work for the Trust as it not just an educational community but an educational family. I believe in our vision and the positive difference we strive to make within our local communities.

I was born, raised and educated in a beautiful village in Gloucestershire. From an early age, I knew I always wanted to teach as I loved the idea of helping and inspiring others, just like I had when growing up.

At university, I chose to study geography as I loved learning about the world. Whilst at sixth form and university, I worked as a housekeeping assistant at a local care home which was not just a job for me, but also an opportunity to give back to the community.

My first teaching job was at a school in Cheadle to a KS2 class. After this, I began teaching a KS2 class at Horninglow and have since enjoyed teaching in Years 2, 4 and 6 and even a little bit in Reception. I feel very proud to lead maths and music across my school as I am very passionate about these subjects. Music is a particular enjoyment of mine as I have partaken in numerous choirs and orchestras.

Horninglow Primary and The de Ferrers Trust are wonderful educational communities to work in as they really do encompass our values of ‘be kind, work hard and choose wisely’.
