"Joining and now leading The de Ferrers Trust has been the most positive development ever in my professional career.  I truly enjoy working with our teams of passionate, forward thinking professionals, dedicated to doing the very best for our staff and families.”

Prior to taking up my role as CEO at The de Ferrers Trust, I was the Principal of The de Ferrers Academy as well as Director of Secondary Education for the Trust. Prior to joining de Ferrers in September 2019, I held roles as: Principal of an 11-18 academy in Nottinghamshire; Deputy Headteacher in a Derby City 11-18 standalone academy responsible for behaviour, safeguarding and Teaching and Learning; and as an Assistant Principal in an 11-18 Derbyshire school, responsible for assessment, timetabling and policies.

My teaching specialisms were Physical Education and Geography. I also contribute to/lecture on the Postgraduate Certificate in Education course in Professional Standards at Loughborough University.

I have always lived and worked in the East Midlands, apart from when I went to university in Bedford.  In my spare time I try to enjoy training for and taking part in triathlon, cycling and running events.  Theatre and travel are also my passions.
