I was raised in Northamptonshire and later attended the University of Bedfordshire, where I completed a BA (Hons) degree. Upon graduating, I worked in the retail sector and became involved in several HR projects which ignited my passion for people management; pursuing my Level 3 CIPD Diploma in Human Resources Practice in 2012.

Following this, I moved to work in the public sector at Northamptonshire County Council in the HR and Payroll Team, working specifically with schools in the county. During this role, I gained a wealth of knowledge of the education sector, specifically, the terms and conditions of employment for teaching and support staff. I later worked for Ark Multi Academy Trust and gained an insight into operationally managing HR over two large academy sites.

I relocated to Burton upon Trent in 2017 to raise my children and started working for The de Ferrers Trust in August 2018. Having worked at Granville Academy and in the Trust Central Team, I understand the operations of academy life and am able to apply this in my role at Trust Central. Joining the Trust People Team in 2020, I work as a HR generalist, touching upon all aspects of people management. I successfully completed my CIPD level 5 qualification in 2022, undertaking this as an apprenticeship with the Trust, and achieving a distinction for my end point assessment.
