The de Ferrers Academy is a part of The de Ferrers Trust. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.

Following on from 10 years as a specialist Technology College, de Ferrers became an Academy in January 2011. It has grown into a large, split-site, co-educational institution catering for the full range of students from ages 11-18.

Excellent funding has allowed the Academy to enhance resources and equipment and widely promote the use of new technologies. There are digital projectors and flat screen TVs in all curriculum areas with over 500 computers and laptops across all sites.

The Candidate

As an Examinations Assistant, you will carry out administrative duties relating to all aspects of examination entries and results, including obtaining, sorting and distributing exam result to pupils and staff. You will assist teaching staff and pupils with any queries relating to examinations and seek ways of improving quality in all aspects of the work.

You will assist the Examinations Manager in coordinating the day-to-day running of all KS4 and KS5 examinations. You will be required to provide staff with all relevant and up to date examination information including exam board timetables. You will also be required to report any problems to the Examinations Manager and suggest solutions and improvements.

The successful candidate will demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills and hold NVQ 3 Business and Administration or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline. Experience of working in an administration function would be advantageous.
