The Pingle Academy is an 11-19 co-educational, comprehensive school, became an academy in May 2017 and joined The de Ferrers Trust. Our oversubscribed academy is the academy of choice in the local area and enjoys an excellent local reputation.

In 2019, the academy enjoyed its best ever results, both at GCSE and A Level. In October 2021 OFSTED judged the academy as GOOD in all areas.

The Candidate

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Mathematics Teacher to join our dedicated Mathematics team. The faculty prides itself on maintaining above National Average GCSE results. Applications from ECTs are most welcome.

The successful candidate will be committed to creating and securing high standards of learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour as well as having a positive impact on the academic results throughout the department. You will have a passion for teaching Maths and a desire to motivate and engage students. The faculty has an ethos of building strong relationships with students to provide exceptionally high standards of teaching along with the best possible learning environment and educational resources that students, parents and the local community are proud of.

The Mathematics Faculty has 11 qualified teachers with a mix of age and experience. The Mathematics GCSE and A level results and Progress 8 have improved to above the National Average; this trajectory is projected to continue.

We are housed in a 10-room purpose-built Mathematics block which has interactive Promethean screens in each room. The academy continually invests in CPD to ensure teaching is good or better.

For any ECT applications, we offer an excellent Early Careers Teacher programme, and you will be fully supported through your ECT years by a mentor and dedicated Assistant Principal.
