32.5 hours at 39 weeks, Term Time plus INSET days.

Horninglow Primary is a part of The de Ferrers Trust. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.

The Candidate

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who really cares about helping students to succeed. We are looking for someone who is kind, reliable and has a passion for working in the classroom, or one to one, is enthusiastic and builds rapport well with staff and students alike. 

To be successful in this role you will have knowledge of current practices on supporting children’s learning and behaviour management strategies as well as a good understanding of areas of learning such as literacy, numeracy and science. You will hold a NVQ for Teaching assistants or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.

An ideal position if you are considering a career in teaching. It will give you an opportunity to see different teaching and learning styles as well as experience and appreciate  wider school life. You will have the ability to attend  the de Ferrers Trust 'Teacher training seminars'.

There are 2 positions available for this role, you will be a 1:1 TA assigned to a child with special educational needs.
