Richard Wakefield is a part of The de Ferrers Trust. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.

At Richard Wakefield C.E. Primary Academy, everyone works with pride to achieve their personal best. There are 272 pupils aged from 3 to 11 years. Many of the children live in the lovely village of Tutbury, which is about 5 miles from Burton-upon-Trent. The school is fortunate to have the spectacular setting of Tutbury Castle in the background.

The Candidate

We are looking to recruit a Caretaker on a permanent basis to join our friendly school team.  We are looking for someone with the right attributes to take a proactive lead in ensuring site safety and security, the role will also include areas such as, maintenance and repairs, resources and document management and Health and Safety.

To be successful in the role you will have a keen eye for detail to ensure our facilities are clean, safe and well maintained. You should be able to demonstrate good literacy and numeracy skills and be able to relate well to children and interact with them in a friendly and positive manner. Previous experience as a Caretaker or experience in the building trade is desirable.
