Trust Academies seeing the benefits of being part of a multi academy trust
The de Ferrers Trust is celebrating an award of £718,000 from the Education Funding Agency to further improve the buildings and facilities of the academies in the Trust. Despite the robust bidding process, the Trust was successful and work is set to take place over the summer. Various projects across the Trust Academies are planned which will allow for roof repairs, improvements to fire safety and replacement of windows and doors.
From September 2017 the Trust will serve several academies and almost 5000 students meaning that we will automatically qualify to receive significant funds for capital projects (approximately £750k). That funding will increase annually as the Trust grows.
The Trust Estate currently expands over six sites which is soon to grow. As such, the Trust has welcomed Geoff Stockle to our team as the Estates Manager who will be responsible for the strategic management of those sites and will have the oversight of all capital projects. Geoff has an extensive background in premises management and will be a great addition to the team.
