James Done

Trust Leader for Attendance

BA (Hons.) in History, University of Manchester / Postgraduate Certificate in Education, History and Religious Education, Nottingham University / National Professional Qualification for Headship

“I have enjoyed working at schools in both Staffordshire and Derbyshire. I love the challenges of teaching and leading others in education, but especially enjoy being able to help young people to learn, grow, develop and achieve their ambitions.”

I was born in Birmingham but my heart has never been in city living as I grew up in rural Worcestershire. I have always had a passion for History which led to my studying the subject at university. After working in the environmental and conservation sector, I followed a dream to become a teacher and I achieved qualified teacher status at Nottingham University. I have since attained the National Professional Qualification for Headship.

I am the Trust Leader for Attendance. Research proves unequivocally that good attendance is one of the biggest single factors in helping students make progress and achieve.
