“The best thing about working for The de Ferrers Trust is the collaborative planning and working in broader teams to share the best practice. This wouldn't have been possible without the input from all Geographers across the Trust.”

Having grown up by the sea, I've always loved the coast and it is now one of my favourite units to teach.  Going to Aberystwyth University was a no-brainer as it was a great Geography department and by the sea.

I trained at the de Ferrers Academy and have been here ever since.  I absolutely love Geography because it covers everything including Science, Maths, Sociology, Business and many more.  I love my job and encouraging students to 'Think like a geographer' by getting them to see the 'Geography' in everyday life.  It's my aim as a Geography teacher to challenge the stereotypes of the subject and build a curriculum that is topical, addresses global issues and makes global citizens of our students.
