The de Ferrers Trust is a mixed multi-academy trust based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire.  The Trust currently consists of seven schools (three secondaries and four primaries).  The Trust educates approximately 5000 children and young people between the ages of 3 and 19 and employs 650 members of staff.

The Candidate

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated team member to help to focus on delivering the most effective service within safeguarding, governance and compliance. This is a new role within the central structure to provide operational and administrative support to the Director of Safeguarding and the Governance and Compliance Manager.

The candidate will be responsible for administrating a wide range of processes relating to both safeguarding, which focuses on ensuring our most vulnerable students are safe, healthy, and secure as well as governance and compliance, which coordinates the continued development of statutory and non-statutory requirements in support of our academies and the Trust as a whole.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and have the ability to manage varied workloads to strict deadlines. Applications are invited from qualified and experienced administrators, with a professional interest in safeguarding and or compliance to undertake this role within our Trust Central Team. Training will be provided to support the successful candidate.

The role will include involvement on initiatives surrounding safeguarding, advising on various legislative requirements, conducting audits, compiling report findings and engaging with key stakeholders.
