The de Ferrers Academy is a part of The de Ferrers Trust. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.
Following on from 10 years as a specialist Technology College, de Ferrers became an Academy in January 2011. It has grown into a large, split-site, co-educational institution catering for the full range of students from ages 11-18. In 2015 de Ferrers became the first school of The de Ferrers Trust (a Multi Academy Trust).

We are looking to appoint an Teaching Assistant, on a part time basis for maternity cover, who really cares about helping students to succeed. We are looking for someone who is kind, reliable and has a passion for working in the classroom, or one to one, is enthusiastic and builds rapport well with staff and students alike.
To be successful in this role you will have knowledge of current practices on supporting children’s learning and behaviour management strategies as well as a good understanding of areas of learning such as literacy, numeracy, and science. You will hold a NVQ for Teaching assistants or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
