The de Ferrers Academy is a part of The de Ferrers Trust. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.

Following on from 10 years as a specialist Technology College, de Ferrers became an Academy in January 2011. It has grown into a large, split-site, co-educational institution catering for the full range of students from ages 11-18. In 2015 de Ferrers became the first school of The de Ferrers Trust (a Multi Academy Trust).

There are over 2150 students on roll, including an expanding Sixth Form of nearly 400 and each Year 7 entry since 1985 has been oversubscribed. 

Excellent funding has allowed the Academy to enhance resources and equipment and widely promote the use of new technologies. There are digital projectors and flat screen TVs in all curriculum areas with over 500 computers and laptops across all sites.

The Candidate

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to be involved in driving several social media platforms, creating innovative and engaging content, assisting with marketing campaigns, marketing support and other exciting projects!

Whilst gaining valuable on the job experience, you will also study to gain a qualification in Digital Marketing. 

You will possess good numeracy and literacy skills equivalent to GCSE grade C in Maths and English, effective communication skills, and a passion for digital marketing.

The Role

Successful applicants will join a small and supportive team of experienced Reprographics Technicians and be able to make a positive contribution to the development of the Academy and its students. You will play an integral role in creating effective strategies that will promote the Trust, create graphics, animation, and live video content for a diverse array of media, including smartphones, handheld electronic devices, the web, and television, among others.

During your time with us, you will:

●      Use skills that will support you as you take on the wide range of technical and communication challenges that make up the digital marketing mix.

●      Learn about content creation for the academies products and services.

●      Have the chance to support, develop and manage campaigns, competitions and create interesting content to promote the overall brand.
