The Pingle Academy is a part of The de Ferrers Trust. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.

The Pingle Academy is a co-educational, comprehensive, secondary school for students aged 11-18 years.  It is situated on a large secure site at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. We benefit from a wide range of specialist facilities, including a floodlit astro-turf area, Learning Support Base, Autism Resource Centre and a purpose built Sixth Form Centre.

The Candidate

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitable experienced Drama teacher to join the Performing Arts Faculty. The successful candidate will be required to teach KS3 Drama and some Music. The potential to teach GCSE and AS Level Drama and Theatre is desirable. Performing Arts is a popular, and growing aspect of our school community. 

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a passionate and dedicated team looking to expand the cultural capital and Performing Art experiences of the young people in our setting. The successful candidate will be expected to fully contribute to extracurricular commitments such as whole school productions and concerts, including after school rehearsals. 

The successful candidate must have the ambition and dedication to continue developing the curriculum in line with modern pedagogical practices. The ability to play guitar and piano is also highly desirable, although not essential.
