The de Ferrers Trust is a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.

The de Ferrers Academy

Location: Burton on Trent, DE13 0LL

Reporting to the operations Manager, the successful applicant will act as a Cover Supervisor during teacher absence, taking responsibility for a class of students who are carrying out work set by the teacher. Although linked to one curriculum area, the post-holder can be required to work as a Cover Supervisor in any subject and therefore is not expected to have specialist knowledge of all subjects. When not assisting in the classroom, you will be required to support in administrative tasks, preparation of resources/materials and contributing to extra-curricular activities. This position may be based across both academy sites, within walking distance.

You will be required to be flexible as the cover schedule is determined on a daily basis, have good knowledge of supporting learning and the curriculum, gained in a relevant environment or through qualifications such as a Teaching Assistant NVQ.

This post is offered on the basis of 37 hours a week, working term time only, 39.2 working weeks per annum.
