Part Time Teacher of Geography (0.6 min.)

The de Ferrers Trust is a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.

Granville Academy

Location: Woodville, Burton on Trent, DE11 7JR

Part Time, 0.6 minimum.  Will consider applications between 0.6 and full time.

The Geography faculty currently consists of 2 teachers and sits within the World Studies department.  The Director of Learning for World Studies, Martin Adler, has successfully led his team in consistently delivering excellent results and progress data.  In Humanities, students study both Geography and History up to Year 9 and have the option of specialising in one at GCSE or continuing with both. Lessons cover a range of topics at KS3 from map skills and climate zones in Geography through to the Battle of Hastings and the crimes of Jack the Ripper in History.  The faculty offer a range of extracurricular trips and opportunities at both KS3 and KS4 including an annual visit to Norfolk on a residential trip and field trips to study natural and urban environments.

The Candidate

We are looking to appoint a part time Teacher of Geography who can commit to a minimum of 0.6. The successful candidates will be highly qualified and be able to support in the promotion of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively. They will be passionate about their specialist subject and seek to positively impact their field and Academy.
