The de Ferrers Trust is a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We currently consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.

Granville Academy has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven individual with proven experience within leadership and SEND to join the team.
Granville Academy is a mainstream Academy. Our guiding principle is one of inclusion and our aim is to identify possible barriers to learning for all students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).
The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching and learning strategy at the Academy, be accountable for raising standards of teaching and learning, and modelling best practice when delivering lessons within SEND. The role will involve delivering 8 hours of teaching per week.
The SEND team consists of an Assistant Principal - SENCo, Assistant SENCo, and a team of Academic Mentors, all of whom are experienced and qualified. Each Academic Mentor is linked to individual students as a student champion. The teachers at Granville Academy are trained to support students with SEND. Lessons are personalised to the student’s strengths and areas for development and differentiating any work accordingly. All SEND students carry a Passport of reasonable adjustments and teachers are aware of these needs.
