This is a voluntary role and therefore without remuneration.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated volunteer who is committed to improving education and making a positive difference to the lives of our students. Governance is the most important volunteer workforce in education. It is a rewarding role that provides an excellent opportunity for personal and professional development. Volunteers are able to develop many skills such as project management, recruitment and selection, budget control and data analysis together with acquiring board-level strategic leadership skills and the experience of working as part of a senior team.
We have a wide variety of skills and experience currently within the team, but would like to increase our pool to bring further diversity and enhance our overall skills set. All interested parties are encouraged to apply.
All candidates must have:
- a strong commitment to the role and to improving outcomes for children;
- the inquisitiveness to question and analyse;
- the willingness to learn;
- good inter-personal skills;
- appropriate levels of literacy in English and sufficient numeracy skills to understand basic data.
