Data Protection

The de Ferrers Trust is committed to a policy of protecting the rights and privacy of individuals in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.  Our policy can be located in our policy section.  Privacy Notices which detail how we manage personal data can be located below.    

The Trust has appointed an independent Data Protection Officer namely John Walker of J.A. Walker Solicitors.  

Individuals can ask for copies of information that is held about them or a student for whom they have parental responsibility by way of a Subject Access Request (“SAR”).  Please refer to the Trust’s Subject Access Request Procedure and Protocol which is published below.  

Freedom of Information 

The de Ferrers Trust is subject to the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI) as a public authority, and as such, must comply with any requests for information in accordance with the principles laid out in the Act.  Please see our policy which is located in our policy section for details as to how to make a request.
