Another year of gcse success
The Trust would like to congratulate all of our Year 11 students and our committeed team of colleagues for yet another year of GCSE and BTEC success.
Students across the Trust have performed admirably despite the difficulties of tackling a different grading scale, since the traditional A* to U grading system has changed to a numerical scale between 0 and 9.
An incredible 19 students at The de Ferrers Academy achieved nine grade A or equivalent results. They are, Emily Doran, Eve Grady, Sophie Lawless, Jessica Morris, Megan Lear, Hiba Tu Noor Rabbani, Freya Taylor, Archie Skeels, Kier Long, Ibrar Ahmed, Lewis Anderson, Elin Mills, Lucy Pendleton, Lewis Gladwin, Autumn Beddoe, Mollie Cox, Lainya Knopik, Jessica Stevens and Eleanoe Ramshaw.
Nick Holmes, Principal at the Academy has applauded the students at the school for their dedication throughout their studies.
Mr Holmes said: "I am delighted for the pupils, their hard work has paid off and they fully deserve the excellent results that they have achieved."
Students at The Pingle Academy also performed well. Speaking of the students’ triumph, Principal, Vivien Sharples, said: "I am delighted that we have so many success stories to tell.
We are delighted that so many of our students have surpassed their targets and achieved the new good grade of 9-5 in English and Maths.
We will welcome back a large proportion of our students into the sixth form, as well as many students from other schools. They can look forward to a great experience here at Pingle in a sixth form which has achieved outstanding A level results this summer".
